Frequently Asked Questions
What sports does PicksByAI cover?
Currently MLB (Major League Baseball) for full-game and first-5-innings moneyline markets. NFL, NBA, and NHL are planned.
How are picks generated?
Two AI models run each morning after pitcher matchups and team stats are updated. Each model computes a win probability, compares it to the sportsbook consensus, and selects picks where the edge meets the minimum threshold.
What is 'edge'?
Edge is the difference between our model's win probability and the probability implied by the sportsbook odds (after removing the vig). A positive edge means we believe the team is more likely to win than the market implies.
What is the Pick Quality Score?
A 0–100 score that combines edge size, win probability, odds favorability, and other factors. Higher scores indicate picks with the strongest signal relative to the model's minimum threshold.
What is the difference between V1 and V2 models?
V1 (Value Model) prioritizes market edge — it looks for teams the sportsbook undervalues. V2 (Winner Model) prioritizes win probability — it picks the team statistically most likely to win, regardless of whether they're a favorite or underdog.
Are these guaranteed winners?
No. These are statistical models that identify favorable probabilities over a large sample. Individual outcomes are unpredictable. Always bet responsibly and only what you can afford to lose.
